Our relationship with Hardypond Construction has evolved over the years as their needs have changed. As a woman-owned construction company that is also a second-generation family-business with a 30 year history in Southern Maine, Hardypond has a strong reputation and distinctive story. Initially, they needed help highlighting their work and keeping their website current, but in Maine’s competitive marketplace Hardypond’s needs changed. Hardypond looked to Words@Work to create a strategic marketing plan to help them meet their growth goals and increase their brand awareness with decision makers, potential clients, and potential employees.

Our Strategy:

Hardypond is a trusted local contractor known for taking on complicated jobs other companies shy away from and for treating their employees and subcontractors like family. A big hurdle to their growth has been the construction labor shortage, and Hardypond needed their brand to highlight their culture and their strengths to help attract new employees. After a logo redesign, a marketing plan was created to redesign the website to include more photography and videography to demonstrate the Hardypond way of building. The Words team continues to meet with Hardypond leadership to discuss and evaluate opportunities to fortify the Hardypond brand.
