Their Goal
When Words@Work was hired on to do PR for Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ (FOKO), they imagined a sold-out performance. Their dream came true on September 27th, 2014. With our hard work and the great support of the local media, the “Triumphant Return of the Kotzschmar Organ” was a total sell-out and complete success.
HOW FOKO MEASURES “MORE”
More tickets sold, higher engagement on social platforms, more public awareness through the media.
Our Strategy
As the organ was being dismantled in 2012 for its $2.6 million renovation project, our biggest worry was keeping the public interested in the organ throughout the hiatus. Working closely with the local media was key (here’s a fantastic piece written by Bob Keyes at the Portland Press Herald), and keeping the public apprised of the developments gave a great behind-the-scenes feel to the process. It’s a fitting return, given that the 2015 season marks the 25th anniversary of the Christmas with Cornils holiday concert! Check out FOKO’s upcoming events and experience the brilliance of the organ for yourself!
